I don't know if it's the fact that the sun never shines here in Jersey anymore ( unless it's a day where I have to go that hell known as work) but I just have not felt the muse lately. Now mind you I don't generally go around feeling up female geek myths but I think ya know what I mean. I just haven't been able to get excited about any of the OCTs like Deviant Dead or YSI especially when my lack of ability is pointed out by other people taking part. I can't even get excited about the Secret Wars because I really have no idea how the big orang dufus would fit in with what's going on there. The 1 Dollar Fights had me excited until I realized if I did manage to make it past round 1 I'm just gonna get my crappy artist head handed to me again when I face Fisticuff in the second round. Maybe I'm being to hard on myself but I just feel tired and beaten down...

*EDIT* I got home from another sucky day at the job I cannot stand...sat down on the couch and my daughter came running to show me the picture she drew of our family (shes got a great style, kinds a like the Mr. Man stuff) I told her it was great and she gave me a kiss and told me, "but Daddy you're the best artist"

The slashers keep on rolling in, and I got ta thinking after the my initial post that most people think of the Hollywood "slasher" as just that only but there are quite a few archtypes

The Juggernaut - impossible to kill and if you do manage to put them down they just get right back up for the sequal (Jason, Micheal)

The Vengeful Ghost - Back from the dead to avenge their untimely death or to keep that killing spree uninterrupted by the peskiness of death (Freddy, Candyman, Mary Shaw)

The Demon - straight from Hell and looking to party (Pinhead, the Djinn, the Ghoulies)

The Animated Object - just that, something that shouldn't be alive, but is (Chucky, The Puppets from Puppet Master, Zuni Fetish Doll, Christine)

The Cannibal - Just looking for a good meal (Leatherface, Farmer Vincent)

The Animal Kingdom gone berserk - Mankind must be taught his place in the food chain (Jaws, Prophecy, Tentacles, Ben, Lake Placid, Mimic)

Science gone Awry - shoulda built a kill switch (Terminators, the Security Bots from Chopping Mall, Deadly Friend)

The Lunatic - mad as hell and just not taking it anymore (Jigsaw, Ghostface, Norman Bates, Harry Warden, Maniac Cop)

The Inbred Freak - genetic nightmares (Belial, The Hellbillies from Wrong Turn 2)
